The Great Philly Sandwich Tour
We proudly acknowledge the Bunurong as the first people to love, live and dine on the lands on which Attica sits today.
We recognise that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Peoples were the first sovereign nations of Australia from time immemorial, and they never ceded this sovereignty.
The Great Philly Sandwich Tour
We worked hard to eat as much bread, cheese, and meat as possible in 24 hours, and here are the results: The Great Philly Sandwich Tour!
Come with us to feast on some of the best sandwiches we have ever had.

Sandwiches at Liberty Kitchen

Walking around Philadelphia
Pop on your stretchy pants and comfy shoes for an ambitious 24-hour tour of some great Philadelphia sandwich restaurants.
Philadelphia makes the best sandwiches we’ve ever eaten, hands down. So good that we hit 7 spots in 24 hours.
The city has a long and proud history of sandwich making, and every person who lives in Philly that we spoke to has a different favourite spot. People there are justifiably passionate about sandwiches! This is, by no means, a definitive list, but it was as much meat and cheese as could be eaten in just over a day.
Each restaurant has their own unique recipes and styles, from roast pork to cheesesteaks to hoagies, and even the occasional slice or two of pie. If you ever find yourself in a Philadelphia sandwich shop, the best thing to do is ask the server for their recommendations. We would have missed out on quite a few gems if we didn’t take their advice.

Some tips
Walking: The initial locations are relatively close, making for pleasant walks through Philadelphia's neighbourhoods.
Public Transport/Uber: For longer stretches, especially from John's Roast Pork to Reading Terminal Market, consider using rideshare or taxi services to save time and energy.
WEAR STRETCHY PANTS AND COMFY SHOES! Also, a lot of the places are takeaway only, or have outside seating, so dress for the weather.
If you have the time, take a moment to explore each neighbourhood. All of the restaurants are in really interesting places and are well worth exploring.
